Soul Kitchen, together with Chester Aid to the Homeless and SHARE have been chosen as the three local ‘on the ground’ charities able to apply to access funds that have been donated by the public to support the ‘End Homelessness’ scheme recently launched in Chester.

The ’End Homelessness’ scheme is an initiative which offers members of the public a way of supporting individuals without giving directly to the individual. Members of the public can offer support by way of contactless donation points located around the city (see map below). One hundred percent of each contactless donation of £3 will go towards supporting somebody who is homeless and will be held in a designated bank account by The Chester Bluecoat Charity. The three eligible charities will be able to submit applications for funds to help them to support people and move them away from homelessness. Soul Kitchen plan to use any funding primarily to support the upskilling and training of people through our Soul in a Bowl sessions.
