Wezzie Wednesdays
Soul Kitchen are running a free breakfast drop in at Westminster Community Centre in Ellesmere Port. Known as “Wezzie Wednesdays” and running alongside foodbank opening hours, the team provide free cooked breakfasts from 9.30 – 11 every Wednesday.
10 YEAR ANNIVERSARY
On Friday 14th November, we proudly celebrated the 10 year Anniversary of Soul Kitchen.
The celebration was held at Campbell Hall and was primarily made up of invitees who had supported Soul Kitchen on their journey over the past 10 years.
Second Bite
We are currently running a pilot for our social enterprise, Second Bite, where Soul in a Bowl team members will bake shortbread biscuits which we then aim to sell to independent cafes and retailers within Chester area. We are also exploring other possibilities for Second Bite, including a pop up restaurant, and providing meals for those on the streets during the winter.
Soul in a Bowl and The Chester Townhouse and The Sunset Café
Soul in a Bowl stage one provides the opportunity for members to attend our ‘cook and eat’ sessions. It vitally teaches cookery skills, builds self-confidence and self-esteem, and provides the opportunity for teamworking and obtaining skills and qualifications to allow progression into self-sufficiency and employment.
