Every Step Matters
Give Monthly. Support a Journey
Donate monthly to change lives.
The reasons people become homeless are many, varied and often complex. The journey away from homelessness is rarely straightforward, and everyone’s experience is different.
At Soul Kitchen Chester, we support people every step of the way — starting with immediate needs such as food, clothing and toiletries, and continuing to build confidence, skills and opportunities for a different future.
It starts with a meal. It can lead to so much more.
Our weekly Drop In provides a welcoming place to access essential support and build relationships. From there, people can take part in our Soul in a Bowl cookery sessions, developing confidence, practical skills and teamwork.
For some, this can lead to volunteering, training, employment and opportunities through our Second Bite social enterprise.
Your regular gift helps us be there for every step of that journey.
£5
a month could provide hot meals and essential toiletries.
£10
a month could help provide ingredients for a cookery session.
£30
a month could help someone gain a recognised cookery qualification.
£50
a month could help cover the cost of a cookery session.
Why regular giving matters
A regular donation gives us the confidence to plan ahead and continue providing support throughout the year.
It means we can be there not just when someone needs a meal, but when they’re ready to take their next step.
Small monthly gifts. Big difference.
Your support can help someone move from simply getting through the day to believing that a different future is possible.
Become a regular supporter today.
Every journey is different.
We’ll be there for every step.
How your support helps people out of homelessness
Saturday Drop In
We open a weekly drop-in every Saturday evening at Campbell Hall, Boughton, where we provide hot food and drinks, clothing, shower facilities and, most importantly, the support and conversation that people need.
Soul in a Bowl
We provide cooking sessions for those experiencing homelessness or who are in temporary accommodation. These sessions improve self-esteem, self-confidence, and enable us to build relationships to better offer support to those who attend.
Second Bite
Graduates from our Soul in a Bowl empowerment sessions who have achieved their Level 2 food hygiene certificates and who have shown reliability join our Second Bite team, baking ‘shortbread with soul’ that will help to provide training and employment for somebody who is or has been homeless.
About Your Donations
Where and How They Are Used
Soul Kitchen Chester provides food and support to those experiencing homelessness and food poverty across Chester and the surrounding areas.
Your donations will support people affected by homelessness through our various programs, which support people to develop self-confidence, self-esteem, and further skills to support them in moving into employment and into a life off the streets.
